"How the nurses spoke to and treated patients"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Combined Assessment Unit (CAU)

(as the patient),

I was took into station 3 while unwell waiting surgery

I was absolutely disgusted at how I saw some of the nurses speak to and treat patients. I witnessed 3 patients in tears over this. A vulnerable person fell and I had to watch them getting shouted at by a member of staff.

The nursing I saw on the ward was beyond appalling. In all my years I have never witnessed anything as bad.

However I can not fault the doctors they were brilliant.

I was very distressed at what I witnessed and I hope something is done.

Dear "Jojoba" We were very concerned to read this feedback - I have spoken to the Senior Charge Nurse in Station 3 who would be grateful to be given the opportunity to speak with you directly regarding your experience.

If you would be prepared to give us a call on Ayr Hospital 01292 610555 and ask for Senior Charge Nurse Jacqui McColm (St 3) this would be greatly appreciated.
