"My journey of my health care"

About: Community Mental Health Teams / Early intervention in psychosis service (EIP) (Limbrick)

(as the patient),

I was so scared and fragile when I first turned to services. I didn’t know I was suffering from mental health when I was. It’s taken a lot of battling to get where I am today, but without the help and continued support from psychiatrist Dan, my co-ordinators Sarah and Rebecca, my recovery worker Janice, and my cbt worker Maggie all from limberick centre I wouldn’t be where I am today.

They’ve given me time and consistency, to allow me to be myself and guided me where’s needed. I’ve learnt a lot of fresh new tools along the way and been able to have the chance to learn so much about myself in many different ways. I’ve always felt warm and welcomed by services and treasured every moment spent with each individual worker. We’ve had rocky times where I’ve taken it out on them but they’ve all been supportive through whatever it is that’s been troubling me. I’ve also got help from Kate my advocacy who’s also helped me through times where I could say my piece.

Dear Strawb

Can I thank you for taking time to share your experiences on the Care Opinion site. I know that accessing mental health services can be daunting and challenging as well as supportive, so am pleased that your journey towards recovery has been aided by the staff mentioned who I work alongside in this service. I have shared your feedback with those involved and we all wanted to wish you well in the future as well as sharing our thanks.
