What a wonderful and professional General Surgical team from top to bottom. 

I could not have wished for better care and treatment at Forth Valley Royal Hospital, Larbert yesterday. Initially met by Arlene - a warm & friendly introduction to the Day Surgery Unit. During my stay I received personal kindness, support and professional care as all my worries and concerns were considered and laid to rest from reception to discharge. 

Mr Emin, consultant has such a remarkable professional and welcoming personality which has spread throughout his team from surgical secretary; waiting list, theatre and post operative staff. I have never had a more supportive and friendly anaesthetist to talk me through the procedure and Mr Jabber, surgeon for my inguinal hernia repair. The post operative nursing staff under ms McNeill, another remarkable and very friendly and professional member of the team, attended to my every need on the start of my road to recovery. 

This team should be acknowledged for their professionalism and friendly approach and have a framed picture in the award gallery of personal achievements at reception. They are a most valued asset to the NHS Forth Valley and others should follow their lead.

Thank you for taking the time to tell of us of your experience with your recent hernia repair in Forth Valley. Although I am sorry that you had to have surgery, it really is great to hear that it was such a positive experience, right from the first moment in the day surgery unit. All of the team work hard to try and provide this experience and it is really gratifying to hear back when this is the case.

I have passed on your fantastic feedback to all the team including Mr Emin and Mr Jabbar who were delighted to hear it. I have also passed it onto the anaesthetic department but I wasn't able to work out who the specific anaesthetist was. If you wanted to, you could contact my secretary on 01324 566939 with more details of when you had your procedure and I could work this out and pass it on personally.
