"A parody of a GP practice"

About: Brockwell Medical Group

I've been with this surgery for almost 20 years. What was once a great surgery is now a joke. Called Monday to organise a sick/fit note. Rang 11 times and couldn't get through. Attended surgery. Was told i'd be called back. No call. Tuesday was advised I'd been called 3 times previous day. My mobile call record showed no missed calls and no voicemails, so stumped on that one. Asked to speak to GP but advised Tuesdays were "emergencies only" and I must call Wednesday morning. I call Wednesday morning to be advised surgery closed all day for staff training and I must call again the following day. Meanwhile I may not get paid because I am unable to produce a sick note. What happened to this practice? Why did I have no record of any missed calls from the surgery and why wad no voicemail left if, as I'm advised, attempts were made to call me? And why would I have any faith that if I can call and get through to the surgery tomorrow I won't encounter another emergency only day or a day when my mobile is inexplicably unavailable in the event the surgery calls? I'm aware I'm not alone in encountering such a low level of patient satisfaction, and no doubt any reply to this review will fudge the issues with usual standard response. I understand surgeries are busy places. I really get that. But Brockwell used to have a very efficient level of service and it has long since become nothing more than a faint memory. Very sad. Very disappointing.
