My Dad passed away peacefully in Brandon ward on Monday night. He was admitted 3 weeks ago. Staff at Udston have known my dad since 2012. The team on Brandon ward have been excellent with my Dad. So thank you very much for the care, compassion and support given to my Dad and myself at a time of uncertainty and great sadness. From Ward Manager Liz, all Staff Nurses, CSW's, Domestic Staff, Consultant Dr Uche and fellow colleagues, you have been awesome. Special mention to Alison who has been on our family journey since 2012 and was with my Dad as he passed away. Your knowledge, experience and skill set is awesome.

Liz, Alison, Jennifer, Vicki , Karen, Liz, Elizabeth, Kamilla, Colin, Sandra, George, Esther, Toni, Nicola, Tommy, Barry, David, Gail, Dr Uche & Ellie (to name but a few apologies if I missed anyone) helped make this rotten journey that wee bit more bearable. Thanks go to Clyde ward staff for care and support in previous years. Finally a wee shout to Marion the Domestic assistant for always greeting us with a smile, showing kindness and being a smashing lassie.

Good Morning Poomf,

I am sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad. I want to personally thank you for taking the time to share with us your experience of your Dad's care and the support you received as a family from Brandon and Clyde wards. I can't put it any better than you described yourself as a rotten journey. I know the team will have delivered care and support that they would want their own loved ones to experience. Again my condolences, I hope the sadness that is there just now can be softened with all the loving memories of your Dad.
