"Pain in my hips and lower back for years"

About: Whiston Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

With respect to the mri. When we had a conversation on the phone I told the doctor of the frustration and pain I was in. They hinted on my mental health and could hear the frustration I was in.

I have never been off work this long and in the time I have been off feel I have got nowhere. Its now at the point where I have to go back to work regardless as my sick pay runs out and I couldn't support my family without a wage.

I remember telling the doctor I think I need an mri as I am having a lot of pain in my HIPS and lower back I have told all the doctors I have spoken to that it feels like I have been kicked in my left hip and I am 100% positive I also told this doctor that too. I was expecting a mri of my lower back and Hips but only got a mri of my spine that to me is unbelievable as I have constantly told doctors of my hip pain.

On reflection I found the phone call we had very disappointing as I must have been interrupting the dr's lunch as they were eating whilst talking to me and also the conversation came across to me as I was wasting their time and I was told as a matter of fact to go back to work and keep taking my pain killers. I feel like the doctor didn't read my personal details because on occupation it will say builder.

I was told there was no visible issues with my spine. Then the doctor changed their mind and said actually there are nodes but they won't be causing me a problem as there's no inflammation.

Where was the mri for my hips? for over 3 months now I have been telling the various doctors in this surgery I am having major issues with my left hip Couldn't that be causing all my pain across the bottom of my back causing my walking issues pain in my left groin and leg all the doctors should have this recorded in their notes. ? And couldn't that have been done whilst getting a spinal mri. ?

Maybe you can all compare notes and see what you think. ? In the meantime as the doctor said I will go back to work and keep taking the pain killers.
