"Prescription issues"

About: George Eliot Hospital - Acute Services / Ophthalmology GPs in Coventry and Rugby

(as the patient),

After receiving cataract surgery I found my prescription eye drops running out, so I placed a request into the surgery for some more, after waiting a few days ( as is the process) I went to collect my prescription, I was told that the discharge letter did not specify that my GP Surgery could prescribe the eye drops.

Upon speaking to the Ophthalmology Dept at the hospital I was discharged from they stated quite firmly that my GP surgery can indeed prescribe said drops.

The Hospital (after getting my notes back) agreed to provide a prescription, but again queried my GP Surgeries reluctance.
