About: University Hospital Hairmyres / General Medicine (Wards 9-12)

(as the patient),

I was admitted to Hairmyres hospital July 2017 with an overactive thyroid. I was unaware how unwell I  was. I cannot  stress enough the excellent care and treatment I received from the porters, ward ancillary staff, nurses and doctors. It has been quite a journey to get back to good health. Who knows the outcome if I was not treated by Hairmyres staff. I am so grateful to everbody who helped me in the path to recovery and a special thankyou to my endicrinologist (Dr. Chris) he really is an excellent consultant.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and write such positive comments. It sounds as though you have been very unwell and have been on a journey of recovery.

I am delighted to hear that the whole team gave such excellent care. As you will know, we rely on each member of the multidisciplinary team for the hospital and wards to function effectively. It is lovely to hear that all staff contributed to your recovery. I will ensure your comments are shared with staff and in particular Dr Chris.
