"A&E review"

About: City Hospital / Accident and emergency

The receptionist who was typing on her keyboard didn’t even aknowledge me when I arrived. After five minutes, I had to ask her if I was at the right place. The A&E waiting room is strewn with empty cups, empty boxes and wrappers. The women toilets smelled of urine. The bins for sanitary items are dirty. It is hard to believe you are in a hospital in England. They couldn’t find my file on their system. The nurse was friendly and I was seen to promptly.

I am happy to hear that, in terms of your care, you were seen in a correct and prompt manner, but sad to hear of the situation you have relayed – I have passed your comments on to the cleaning and reception teams at City for further action. Kind regards, Toby Lewis, Chief Executive.
