"physiotherapy dept"

About: Lydney & District Hospital Site

Having waited for several months for an appointment with the physiotherapist dept. after being referred by my doctor, I was very disappointed when the physiotherapist couldn't find the machine to do the ultra sound on my ankle the doctor had requested, on the second appointment she couldn't work the machine (having eventually found it). She said she hadn't done any ultra sound for at least 4 years. I was under the impression she had no idea what she was doing and the pain and swelling increased significantly after her intervention. To such an extent i have had to pay for 2 private appointments elsewhere.

Previously i have had good results from this department although they are very much hands off and all they seem to want to send you home with a leaflet.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback, but I am so sorry that the Physiotherapy treatment for your ankle at Lydney Hospital did not go well, but I hope your ankle is now much-improved and more comfortable.

If you would like to discuss this further, then please contact us in confidence at Tel. 0300 421 8313 or email yourexperience@glos-care.nhs.uk.

In the meantime, your comments have been recorded in our October report to our Senior Managers. Best wishes, Gloucestershire Health & Care NHS Foundation Trust, Service Experience Team.
