About: Hospital Of St Cross / Clinical haematology

Just wanted to say thank you to the staff who took my bloods this morning. I was very anxious as I am trans non-binary and the blood tests were for commencing hormone therapy - the booking system required me to state my gender but only allowed me to select between male and female.

However, I put a note to the staff when I booked, and by the time I arrived one of them said they had already escalated it to ask that the system be changed.

I was treated with respect and kindness as a trans person.
