I had an asthma attack at work ambulance team that arrived were fantastic however took a long time to come. The paramedics were shocked at how long I had waited. Arrived at a & e the staff in a & e started treating me straight away was little scary as there was quiet a few people round at one time and was getting Canulars put in and blood gas oxygen taken which took a few attempts as my veins are poor I was then kept in over night and taken to the acute receiving ward again staff were brilliant food wasn’t too bad some of it could be improved but soup was particularly good. I then needed a few nebulisers lost count how many iv had. Seen nurse from respiratory and have been referred to outpatient. I then was moved up to respiratory all the nurses, auxiliary nurse are fabulous still in hospital now but would like to thank Bernie in respiratory ward she has worked a lot of the night shifts and has helped me on a few occasions. Doctors have seen me but have always been feeling ok when they visit normally not long after a nebuliser. The staff are always busy but happy to help when they can
