"Thank you to everyone at the Centre"

I have been going to Galashlels Resource Centre over the last six months.  Since I was a young person I have suffered from Mental Health issues and once tried to take my own life.  Over more than forty years I have had a number of times when I have suffered from depression, without asking for the help that I needed to manage these bouts.  This was mainly because I felt too ashamed to ask.

Since attending the Resource Centre I have been shown different ways to help my responses to situations that I find difficult.  The Centre is not just practical but also fun and I found everyone to be very kind.  The distress tolerance session was really helpful to me and we were shown different ways to defuse unhelpful thinkng. We had meditation time and very positive discussions.  I never felt forced or uncomfortable to do more than I could cope with.

Thank you to everyone at the Centre and I can recommend it to anyone who is dealing with mental health issues.
