"A&E horrendous"

Unfortunately I had to make a visit to A&E, this was not a busy time so I am surprised at the waiting time (so far 3 hours) The cleanliness is not that great in the waiting area with the blood still on the floor from 3 hours ago. Considering there is so many posters up about infection control you would have thought cleaning the waiting area would be a priority.

We are sorry to hear of your poor experiences at the hospital and the environment of A&E. In terms of the wait, although it may not appear busy in the waiting areas this may not take into account the number of patients being seen, going through triage and being treated within the Unit or the complexity of their medical needs which will require more of the Doctor and Nurse's time. In relation to your comment about the cleanliness of the hospital, would you mind emailing pals@bedfordhospital.nhs.uk with the full details (such as the date and approx. time of visit) and this can be investigated further.
