I’ve made two appts with the surgery regarding my daughters anxiety giving both Drs a detailed account of how she was behaving. None of the Drs took it seriously & simply told me to contact a mental health organisation.
I’d also told them that she was not eating etc so for me it was quite serious. They said nothing about this.
I took my daughter on holiday & due to her worrying behaviour I went to see a dr . The Dr there took it seriously & gave me a letter to take to A & E so she could be seen quickly on my return to England.
She has now been diagnosed as having a OCD. The psychologist who is seeing her asked me to get a blood test done straight away at the northenden surgery because my daughter is not eating well. I went through in an emergency service to get the GP to ring me back. However I was surprised the GP told me he didn’t see it as a SERIOUS PROBLEM???? If your child isn’t eating food you wouldn’t think it was serious??? He said he’d get a form ready for me for Rias blood test with NO EXPLANATION as to where I was to take the form or anything. We collected the form & I asked the surgery where to take it. They gave me the phone number of the forum clinic. I rang the forum clinic & they told me that they don’t do blood tests for children under sixteen.
What the hell is going on? You don’t take children’s problems seriously & you have no idea what you’re doing either. That is no way to run a surgery. Things have started happening now due to the Dr in Spain picking up the problem. And that’s NO THANKS! To your surgery!
