"Gynaecology -Fertility clinic"

Awful awful awful experience. Went to discuss my IVF needs, an already emotional situation made much worse. Couldn't find the department as was given the wrong information on letter. Staff were rude and unhelpful. Finally found the department but no one seemed to be around. I asked a nurse who was passing by (she seemed very frustrated that i had stopped her). She told me i needed to go through a door to the waiting room but the door was locked. She just walked off. Finally transpired that the department had actually closed that day due to staff issues but no one had thought to ring and tell me. It was astounding!

I then called the next day and spoke to a rude receptionist. I explained that i had taken the day off work for the appoitments and should have been told it was cancelled. She actually had the cheek to say I should have called to ensure my appoitments was going ahead!! Really??!! She said i would have to go back in system and wait for another appoitment to come through. I went back to my GP and asked to be referred to another hospital as I didn't want anyone there treating me!
