I had never had an operation in my life, so was so nervous and worried. From the minute I stepped into the hospital, the staff were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble, and I was reassured from start to finish. I opted for a spinal, so it was nice drifting in and out of sleep, being able to hear people talking, music in the background, and a friendly face to chat with me, to tell me how we were progressing. I ended up in Reginald hart ward, where all the staff from domestic to nurses and physio were so nice. Nothing was too much trouble and made my few days stay calm and stress free. I would like to thank each and everyone of you for looking after me so well. You really do all of you go above and beyond your care. You really earn your money, and I think should be paid much much more. And the end result is a happy 67 year old with a new hip. So hopefully this Christmas I’ll be able to get up and have a dance, instead of sitting there wishing I could. Thank you.
