I was diagnosed with cancer of my colon. From the moment of my diagnosis until the moment I was released from hospital, the care, professionalism and complete experience, whilst brutal was absolutely second to none. There are so many people to thank but to name a few, the colonscopy team, the anaethesia team, Brian the Surgeon, the critical care staff, the staff on ward 9, the physio team, the pain relief guys, Fiona and Hazel post op who had me up and about and many many more. Of course a special mention all the nursing staff who were attentive, sympathetic and so utterly good at their jobs, always with a smile even though it was plain to see how busy they were. I am sorry if I have missed anyone out. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful facility right on my doorstep. Faultless from start to where I am now. I am told I am now cancer free but even if I had had to undergo further treatment I know I was and would have been in the very best and safest hands. Words are difficult to find, to express my overwhelming gratitude. So just... thank you..... what an amazing organisation.
