"awful treatment from the specialist 's team -..."

About: Whipps Cross University Hospital

I was referred to Whipps Cross hospital to start my infertility treatment. I was told all the 3 times i was going to see the specialist whom i never saw , only his assistants during the 3 appointments i had.

The first appointment was in October 2018 and I was referred to do an HYCOSY procedure in order to see if my tubes were blocked ( after being diagnosed with PCOS . In March 2019 i had the procedure done. Tubes were fine , however the specialist said i had a 2cm endometrioma on my left ovary and some cysts on my right and that could be the reason for my infertility and that she would send report to the specialist and he would contact me potentially before my next appointment with him ( 25th September) to have it removed prior IVF treatment. Since i did not have any contact from the specialist for 1 month, i did not want to wait 6 months and take the risk of a growing endometrioma inside me . So i went through my private insurance and had the surgery done. Today i had my fertility appointment with the specialist ,or so i thought again...it was another lady replacing him. She was rude, treated us as life stock and clearly didn't want to waste any time with explanations or answering our questions. Sge was there just to fill in paperwork and be quick. She gave us no support, no clarifications about the IVF treatment , she looked at my hycosy report and literally said " your tubes are fine so we are referring you to IVF, it can go bad or wrong, just avoid stress and prepare for disappointments " not once she mentioned about my endometrioma in the report, we were the ones having to mention that and that i removed it surgically . She said the cyst was irrelevant and didn't affect the fertility . My husband has medical background and could not believe in her words and apathy.

Endometriosis IS an infertility cause and has to be treated prior any fertility treatment . She didn't even wanted to see my surgery report. this was not a routine GP appointment , this is an emotional appointment/treatment and therefore should have professional and HUMAN people assigned. I do not recommend at all this team to any couple trying to conceive .
