I was admitted in July 2018 having been brought in by ambulance; I was struggling to breathe after a severe sore throat for 48 hrs. I was quickly diagnosed with epiglottitis & it was explained that it was life threatening.
The speed of the diagnosis & the subsequent treatment by all members of staff was excellent. The Drs calm but easy to understand & thorough explanation about the severity & treatment was excellent & we were so grateful.
Myself, husband & family etc, are more grateful to all of the Drs, Nurses & support staff than they will ever know. Saying ‘thank you’ just didn’t seem enough.
The ward was obviously new and most patients (myself included), had a private room. The ward was clean & well equipped. All the staff were approachable.
"Saved my life / Excellent care"
