"Urgent MRI scan referral from GP"

About: Ealing Hospital / Accident and emergency

I have a severe back problem. My GP arranged for an ambulance to take me to Ealing A&E on a Friday at midday for an urgent MRI scan. Once A&E had done their initial triage etc.they said I was too late for a scan. About 9pm I was told to go home. I was unable to stand or even sit up and had being laid flat all the time I was there. When I pointed this out I was told they'd send for security, which didn't happen. The next day they transferred me to Clayponds hosp. On the Monday I found out that Clayponds has no MRI and I was there for pain relief! This box ticking nonsense at A&E's needs to stop. I have wasted 3 days so far awaiting an Urgent scan.
