"Ward 27 & main theatres"

About: York Hospital / General surgery

Arrived on to ward 27 on Friday 20th sep, in preparation for my laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Staff were attentive and fantastic. I saw the anaesthetist promptly who explained how I would be put to sleep, then my consultant. 15min after seeing them, I was taken up to main theatres where I received a lovely welcome, had a laugh with the anaesthetists and odp team. They were great and put me at ease. Next I woke up in pacu where I was greeted with a smile by a lovely nurse. So so friendly and attentive. A great big thanks to all of the staff from ward 27 and main theatres for looking after me! And to my consultant for getting this pesky gallbladder out of me! I’m forever grateful!

Thank you so much for letting us know about your experience during your laparoscopic cholecystectomy. It is great to hear that the staff took such good care of you and I'm so glad to hear the procedure went well. I will make sure to pass on your comments to the team and I hope you are recovering well at home!
