I visited my GP at Park Avenue Surgery (no problem getting an appointment) to explain issue and he said he would write to hospital to request an appointment. He thought it might take three months for minor operation appointment and get back to him if nothing heard in three months. In just over a month an appointment was received and today I attended the hospital for the cysts removal. My appointment was for 2:00 p.m. and I was seen around 2:05 for which the team leader apologised for delay! The lead nurse who was to perform the operation took me through the form, explained procedure and risks and introduced me to her, Kirsty’s, team Pamela and Amy. The operation went perfectly and progress was explained as it happened and we had a bit of a chat during this time. The cyst was removed intact and the wound was sewn up and bandage applied, I was given a form to take to my local clinic when the stitches were removed and with thanks all around I was then allowed to leave and taken back to reception. All told, beginning to end the service provided was excellent.
"Operation went perfectly"
