""I travel a round trip of 70 miles for each appointment at North Devon District Hospital.""

About: North Devon District Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

Have been waiting half an hour for Outpatient appointment-waited longer today than my previous visit. Very good treatment- have had previous senious conditions. Previously attended consultants at Holonorthly but now at North Devon District Hospital because an operation may be neccessary.I have driven 35 miles and had no problems parking today or on previous occassions. Food and Drink was very expensive and I now bring my own drink with me.

Nurse did apologise for delay during this interview. First appointment was three weeks ago- saw consultant. Another appointment three weeks ago for CT Scan and I'm now back again to see the consultant. I travel a round trip of 70 miles for each appointment at North Devon District Hospital.

Dear magic597

Thank you for taking the time to add your feedback regarding your recent visits to NDDH. I am pleased to see you have recieved very good treatment, and accessed you appointment easily, however I did note you had a half hour wait, unfortunately this can happen and is usually unavoidable, but I am pleased to see you received an apology for the delay.

With regard to your 70 mile round trip, you may wish to talk with the Patient Advice and Liaison department (PALS) on 01271 314090 as without knowing your personal circumstances you may be able to arrange hospital transport, which may make the visits easier.

Jayne
