"Taken to a and e"

About: The Princess Royal Hospital / Accident and emergency

Taken into a and e and stayed for ten hours with broken femur

Can not fault my treatment there,

All staff were kind and professional and kept me informed of everything.

Then I was transferred to the orthopedic ward at 7 am to await an operation in the afternoon.

Although beds were changed daily we were not washed. Given a bowl and soap etc and told to have a wash.

When you are lying prone in bed with a leg cast on the most you can wash is your hands face and upper body.!

I was in for a total of four days and not an offer to help with washing.

I have previously been in Oswestry orthopedic hospital twice and had assistance with washing in a dignified way.

I was not the only one not to have help washing

When I left I know I smelt really bad!

Which is not conducive to recovery-totally unacceptable.
