"The safe arrival of my son"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Maternity Care (Wards 21-24)

(as the patient),

Would like to thank all midwives on ward 23. I was admitted to be induced but when nightshift arrived one of the midwives gave me pain relief and fought my case as to what I could take due to other medications I was on, and she ran me baths for my pain.

My son was born within 40 mins but I was looked after and calmed down by all midwives who held my hand the whole time due to partner not making it on time.

I can't thank staff enough for what they don't get enough recognition for the hard work they do and I'll always be grateful for them being part of my son coming into the world safely and healthy.

Please pass on my thanks to all midwives on ward 23.
