"No appointments and slow to provide details of..."

About: Brockwell Medical Group

Very difficult to get appointments and when offered there is an expectation that you can get to the practice in a very short space of time. No pre bookable appointments nor any after 5pm or weekends.

On first occasions telephoned for test results, GP refused to tell actual outcome just said nothing to worry about. Recieved a letter from practice 2 days later to say results were in and there was a problem with one of them that required follow up.

Second occasion told results hadn't been recieved back from hospital. When spoke to hospital they had been sent 2 days earlier. Provided both fax number and email for practice to hospital who resent results, i ensured this happend. Was told next day that practice hadn't yet recieved them, had to wait further 2 days. Poor practice management.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. I'm sorry to hear about your recent experience. We are currently reviewing our same day access system and looking at ways we can improve this for patients. We do have appointments during the week after 5pm across our Valens practices Monday to Friday, and we offer a GP service on a Saturday morning based at Lintonville which is often staffed by Brockwell GPs and has available appointments released that day. I can see you have experienced some issues around your test results and how this was communicated to you by the practice. I would be happy to look further into the circumstances around this so that we can understand any particular issues and learn from this for future.
