"Being asked how we are is caring"

About: Rampton Hospital / Mental Health Service

(as the patient),

I am On Cambridge ward. Regular checks and taking with Staff helps me feel safe.

If we have a disagreement with other Patients, make sure you get both sides of the Story. My ward round is very effective but have more meetings; a Dr does not have to be present all the time. Being asked how we are is caring. Being responsive, well 8 out of 10 staff listen more and find time to talk, a box on the ward to put ideas in would be good. For our community try to do more activities and get people mixing more.

HI, Thank you for your comments these are helpful for us to improve your experience.

Communication is essential and its best not to take sides but to support and managed a situation. I'm glad you feel cared for and a suggestion box has been mentioned on these posting so this will be something we take forward

Thank you for this posting. I am pleased that communication on the ward is going well and helps you feel safe. The suggestion box idea has been mentioned elsewhere on Care Opinion and it would be great if we could introduce this.

Best wishes.

Peter
