"Wonderful Care From All"

A holiday cut short with a fractured hip. I was in terrible pain but when the Ambulance arrived rapidly sorted my pain and whisked me off to Norwich Hospital ,where I could not have received kinder better treatment.

My skilled surgeon has put a very complicated break together and consequently after only two months I can walk slowly .

The nursing I received was wonderful. Caring, practical and so patient. How they manage I don't know, always understanding and having time to sort out small and large problems.

The cleanliness fantastic. Cleaners making sure every little corner was spotless.

And the menue, a choice and quality for all tastes in a booklet that allowed one to take time to choose (which also recommended food for varies health problems)

The doctors are on the ward ready to sort out any problems that appear when they check your health.

Being so far from home I was helped by the office staff to find a way to bring me back home.

This was done when the heat wave was at its worst and though the heat was unbearable they never showed any impatience.

Physios helped us to walk, and go up a stair....Doesn't sound difficult but it was.

The Hearing Aid staff came around to help. Lovely people with their waggy tailed dogs came to add a lightness to the ward. and once a week, a trolley came around and I would have liked to see him more often with more variety as I was away from home and could not get anything brought in.

An odd way to spend a holiday but my ward companions were a jolly lot, and though all were in pain , we had quite a few laughs and at times felt like we were in one of those old fun English movies. The nursing staff put up with us.

Norwich Hospital I give you full marks
