"This is how an NHS practice should be run"

The Pulteney Practice in Bath is an outstanding example of an NHS practice, and I consider myself very fortunate to have been a patient here for over 30 years (my wife and children have also received excellent service during our time in Bath). The practice is held in high regard locally, a regard which seldom gets expressed, so I thought a few words of praise and a show of genuine appreciation would not go amiss. Doctors can be reached directly and quickly via telephone consultations - a system that work really well (and yes, a call to the surgery gets you a return call from a doctor, leading to an appointment or emergency appointment if necessary). Given the limited resources available to NHS practices, this service is remarkable, and the comprehensive care is enhanced by a dental surgery and on-site pharmacy. Other struggling practices elsewhere should take a look at this one!. Many thanks to everyone at Pulteney Street.
