"Care, compassion and treatment from the staff"

About: Ealing Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a service user),

I want to extend my gratitude to the staff (reception staff, nurses and doctors) at Ealing Emergency Department for the care, compassion and expertise they showed me after I attended the department feeling unwell. I was undergoing chemotherapy treatment where I developed temperatures, feeling lethargic and very unwell.

The team brought me straight through to a side room, I was assessed within 15 minutes by a senior doctor (Dr Anbin) and nursing care was excellent n (Darlington and Senior Nurse Lynch). I received IV antibiotics within 30 minutes of attending ED. I cannot thank for making my experience positive and compassionate. I would really appreciate it if this feedback is given to the team.

Dear Dela

Thank you very much for letting us know how well you were looked after during your recent visit to the Accident and Emergency department at Ealing Hospital.

I was sorry to hear first of all that the treatment you are undergoing at the moment made you feel unwell enough to come in. It was pleasing to learn that once you were admitted, you were treated so well and I will absolutely ensure that the team, and the staff you have highlighted, are made aware of this.

Thank you again for taking the time to share with us your experience and I wish you all the best with your ongoing treatment.

Kind regards

Peter Hare

Patient Relations Manager
