"Badly run surgery"

You can’t get an appt here for love nor money. Despite the surgery being open from 8 until 5, and sometimes 6, Mon - Fri only, the actual GP surgery times are significantly less than this so not sure how that fits with the NHS claim that 100% GP surgeries now operate over 7 days?

Why they did away with the GP triage system I’ll never know - it was better than now even though you had to wait on the phone for a minimum of 40mins! And what do GPS do when the surgeries aren’t running which looks to be about 4-5 hours a day although they don’t publish the actual surgery times on their website so difficult to tell.

You can’t email the surgery because they’re stuck in the 19th century (one GP recently told my husband they didn’t know what an iPad was - really? In 2019?) . They only take cash or cheques if you need to pay for any documentation and won’t email anything. You have to go to the surgery and pay cash or cheque to reception. Unbelievably behind the times - nowhere takes just cash or cheque these days - doubt they’ve heard of contactless technology. Until they drag themselves into the 21st century, I fear the service will just get worse.
