"Poor service - I still don't know what my..."

About: Croydon University Hospital / Accident and emergency

I came in over the weekend as I had injured my ankle and 111 had told me to go to A&E. The staff were unhelpful and even with an injury where I couldn't walk I wasn't offered any kind of help or support or even a stool to put my foot on, let alone ice or crutches to move around the hospital. The x-ray department seemed to have no idea what was going on - at one point a member of staff came out and asked everyone to call out the number they had been given to find out who she had to call in next. Once I was called in I was told to lie down on a bed and was left there for at least 10 minutes with no information about what was going on. I finally got the x-ray and was sent back to a doctor. I was then told that my ankle 'probably' wasn't broken but that someone would call to confirm the next day. It's 2 days later and I haven't had a call and when I called the hospital no one even knew where to refer me to. I didn't even get any advice about what I might have done if my ankle wasn't broken - so in conclusion, I still have no idea what my injury is.
