(as a parent/guardian),

My wee boy fell at school and hit his head, I could see it was small but deep wound.

Took him to A&E Monklands - it was mobbed, the staff at the desk were lovely they showed us a private room for kids that we went to, we didn’t wait too long to be seen, a young doctor attended to us (I am sorry I forget his name) but he was amazing with me and my son; very knowledgeable and very good with my son.

I want to say thanks very much for making an unpleasant experience tolerable. I could see how hard working you all are, keep up the good work you are all doing a fantastic job, from C and mum ❤️

Dear Sco,

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on the Care Opinion platform. I am really sorry to learn that you required to use our service with your son but very pleased to hear it was such a positive experience for you both.

It really does help the team when we get such good feedback and feedback acts as an indicator for us in terms of measuring if what we do is person centred and right - by all accounts it seems this was the case on this occasion.

I hope that your son is recovering well and not too traumatised by his experience and thank you once again for taking the time to leave feedback. I am also pleased to hear that the team made the children's area of the department available to your son which takes away some of the anxiety of sitting in the wider waiting area.

I will be sure to share your kind words with my medical colleagues and the wider team in the Emergency Department.
