"Would never recommend"

About: Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust

The Herefordshire crisis team is horrendous. Been in their care since June time and once before last year. You can tell the people in this team that you are very suicidal and have plans on how you’d do it and still get discharged. One woman even told my mum that because I’ve told them I feel suicidal, it means I won’t actually go ahead with it. So they want you to open up to them but as soon as you do, you’re not really in danger? But if you don’t tell them, then they don’t know so you’re not serious enough to be seeing them? They do not care about the service users. One woman even told me that herself! How can you feel like you can open up to these people when they literally have no care in the world. Some of the staff that work at the Stonebow Unit are lovely but there’s also some that should not be working around vulnerable people. On multiple occasions I’ve left appointments feeling worse than before I went. In A&E the one night this agency woman came to see me from crisis team and continually turned everything into a joke. She then told me that everyone from the team knew I would end up back in A&E just not as quickly so I shocked them all. This made me feel like I was an attention seeker and like I wasn’t worthy of anyone’s help. There’s been many times when I’ve had similar experiences with other members of staff (nurses from the ward, the psychiatrist, OT etc). I have also recently spent some time on Mortimer ward and overall it was a positive experience. However, I went many days whilst in there having no clue who my named nurse was for that day. And when I did know, it was normally either an agency person who didn’t really care or I wouldn’t be given the chance to speak to them. I’ve now been discharged from all their services which quite frankly I’m very glad about. I’ve never going to be using the services under this trust again. Sometimes it’s better just to suffer in silence and they’ve proved this. Would not recommend to anybody
