"Lovely paramedics"

About: Bridport Community Hospital South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a relative),

My husband became unwell and fainted while we were out, he had a sweet in his mouth at the time but luckily young passerby's helped by patting his back to dislodge the sweet and help bring him round.   I rang for an ambulance and I wanted to thank the two lovely paramedics who were first to arrive.   They were lovely, calm and reassuring.   They waited with us for the two hours it took for the big ambulance to arrive and take us too hospital.   Their names are Porsha and Ruth and wanted to express our thanks for their assistance.

My husband was taken to hospital where it seems that the faint was a side effect of his medication and we are waiting to hear back from our GP but we wanted to personally thank the two lovely paramedics for their time.

Thank you for taking the time to share your story and I hope your husband is recovering well.

It is always rewarding to hear stories of how our staff are delivering care and support to patients and those around them when they need it most.

We would be happy to share your story with the staff involved in this instance, however, to do so we will need some specific information. If you would like us to do this, please may I ask you to contact us on either plaudits@swast.nhs.uk or 01392 261 534 and a member of the Patient Engagement Team will be happy to help you further.

Thank you, again, for taking the time to provide us with feedback.

Kind regards,

Sharifa
