"Awful experience"

About: Garston Medical Centre

I came to the practice today with an issue I booked an appointment for, the doctor was extremely rude and dismissive, I actually came out feeling very depressed where I went in feeling happy. The doctor did not listen to a word I had to say, did not do any examination on myself, my history was not looked at, as I suffer with eating disorder and was told to stop eating the food I eat but if I did not eat the food I do eat, I would end up dead from starvation. Also the receptionist said I must call back at 8.30am to get an evening appointment for that day but when I was there at 8.30 they would not allow me to make an appointment. They pick and choose when they are available to make appointments worst GP appointment ever and I barely go to the GP

I am sorry that you feel this way. If you would like to discuss your issues either with the Practice Manager or the GP please contact the surgery in writing so that we can organise it.

Appointments are released at 8.30am for that afternoon/evening and the following morning. These appointments are very popular and can get totally booked. We also run an telephone triage session that is from 2.30-3.25 pm every afternoon so that patients can speak to a doctor.

Some appointments are available to book on line, which can be helpful for those patients that are at work and can avoid the phone issues.
