I went to Purley War Memorial Hospital for a blood test. I have a phobia of needles and usually pass out or come very close to passing out whenever I need to have an injection or a blood sample taken. I get very anxious and basically dread the whole process, and I am embarrassed to admit it. When I arrived at the War Memorial hospital, I told the nurse about my fear and she immediately made me feel more relaxed about the process. She made allowances for me (took me to another room to let me lie down) distracted me with conversation during the blood test and even allowed me to 'cool off' after the blood test was done in a room to make sure there was no risk of me toppling over. This might not sound like much but I cannot tell you how much easier the nurse made the whole experience for me. 5 star service - thank you very much.
