"The advice and care I received"

About: NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service) Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as the patient),

I was unwell suffering from an allergic reaction. 111 was called. A senior nurse advised on what medicine to take. An ambulance arrived, crew Id3880( 2 lady paramedics). They checked me over and reassured me that my condition was stabilising. Many Thanks to 111, the Doctor, Senior nurse, especially Crew 3880 😇😇. Kindest Regards

Thanks for sharing your experience on Care Opinion. An allergic reaction can be a really frightening experience. I am pleased you got the required care to stabilise your condition and I hope you are doing well.

How good of you to provide thanks to the staff who managed your care. Here at NHS 24 we mostly don't get to know what happens to patients who are referred for further care following their call to our service. It is always good to hear they had a good outcome and their health has improved.

Many of our staff (approx 200) can see our stories and responses on Care Opinion. This reinforces for them the hugely important role they have in being the first point of contact for patients and callers to 111. As Shona says, I'm sure having an allergic reaction must have been a pretty frightening experience so I am really pleased to hear that you are doing ok and that our paramedics were able to reassure you and help stabilize your condition.
