"I would recommend these classes to anyone"

About: Ayrshire & Arran Community Services / HARP (Heart and Respiratory Patients)

(as the patient),

I have just completed the 10 week course with HARP  and cannot praise the girls enough for everything,  from the first day they made me feel so welcome and explained things as we went along they made the exercises fun and although they made sure we worked to our individual  ability they made sure we did not overdo things or get lazy and watched us the whole time helping those who needed one on one basis but still there were always others to keep an eye on the rest of us as we improved over time.

The talks at the end of the session were really helpful and they always got us to tell everyone how our individual problems effected us which was helpful as you sometimes think you are the only person having that problem which shows how relaxed they made us feel.

I would recommend these classes to everyone who needs to move on and see there is a life after any illness or operation.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear HollyB,

Thank you for taking time to share this on Care Opinion. I am delighted this has been such a helpful class to attend. Others reading this may also find your experience encouraging enough to go to the classes themselves, should they be given the opportunity.

I have shared this with the team and management, I know they will be delighted to see how beneficial you found HARP.

All the best with your onward rehabilitation.

Eunice
