"The place looked immaculate"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Short Stay Surgery

(as a relative),

Accompanied my dad to ward 301 for a day case admission.

From the minute we arrived everyone was so helpful and pleasant. We were early and the ward was still being cleaned. The place looked immaculate.

Staff nurse  Toni did the admission paperwork and was absolutely lovely. We then met Dave the anaesthetist, quickly follows by Mr Neilly who was performing the op. The whole process was swift and everyone was amazing. On way theatre the assistant made my dad feel very comfortable telling the odd joke.

Was given  advice by Donna (bank staff nurse) before discharge and he was home by 3pm.

The same domestic was still there and the place looked very clean.

All in all an very positive experience and everyone so professional and made my dad feel at ease.

Thank you to all.

Hello

Thank you for your very kind comments and I am glad your dad had a positive experience whilst in the short stay surgical unit. I will ensure that Toni and Donna get a copy of your comments and the rest of the surgical team. This will be greatly appreciated and always gives the staff a morale boost.

I must especially thank you for your comments on how "immaculate" the ward is. Kelly our domestic in ward 301 is over the moon to have been acknowledged in your comment as quite often the domestic staff do not receive any feedback for all their hard work.

I hope your dad's positive experience continues and he is recovering well following his operation.

Anne
