Having been told I needed to see a doctor reasonably quickly, I managed to ring the surgery @ 8:30 on the Monday and get an appointment for later that day. [It did take 18 redials to get through though].
Having seen a particular doctor he told me I needed an ECG and some bloods.
An appointment was available with the nurse the next day for these to take place.
Having taken the ECG, the nurse consulted with a doctor who said I needed to come in.
They found an appointment for the next to see another doctor. Having reviewed the ECG he informed me that I needed to see a cardiologist and book an appointment for 7 days later (not private). Whilst I am disheartened that I needed to see a doctor in the first place, I am very impressed by the rapid access and service.
It is a far superior to that offered by other surgeries (so my friends tell me).
Many thanks to all.
"Excellent access when needed"
