I attended the audiology open clinic with my mum in Central Health Centre Cumbernauld.
I explained our situation and felt that the staff member offered no sympathy and said the hearing aids required no maintenance from me, are easy to operate and was, I felt, very dismissive of my enquiry. My mum really struggles with the hearing aids. I was keen to learn. Sadly I will be reverting to you tube!
Is it too much to expect some courtesy and a tiny bit of human interest. This would change the impression dramatically.

My dad has just passed away and he looked after the day to day maintenance of my mum hearing aids. I attended with mum today and was sad to see the interaction with her and other patients. It was non existent, there was no eye contact and no hello, how can we help.
