I  arrived at ward 3A ward around 7pm, I diagnosed with multiple pulmonary embolisms.  I had to make my own bed, no table, chair or draws. 
I was weighed and observations taken. 
I was  extremely concerned as the lack of care an elderly distressed patient across  from me received from some staff on the ward. I had to leave the ward as I was  too distressed to listen. 
At 3am I asked a nurse for sleeping pills as I was distressed  and couldn’t sleep. one of the nurses said no  to my request, so I requested to speak to the doctor. The same nurse then again  said, no point, the doctor will also say no. 
At 4.30am I asked again for the doctor and the nurse said fine.  The doctor came at nearly 5am and denied any form of sleeping aids as it was  nearly day time. I was very upset crying and saying I requested them at 3am. The  doctor said the nurse only messaged him at 4.30. 
What  I witnessed was uncaring and inhumane.
