"Intensive care unit"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

I was placed in an induced coma for 2 weeks after emergency bowel surgery.

My family told me how well I was treated in these first 2 weeks,

After I was woken from the coma and spent another 8 days on the unit before being moved to a ward I can honestly say all the staff, Dr's, Nurses, Carers, Housekeepers etc were totally amazing, even though I couldn't speak they did their best to understand my requests etc. They washed me morning and night an treated me with total respect and care.

I cannot thank the whole team enough.

Hi

Many thanks for sharing such lovely feedback and I'll will make sure that’s shared with all the staff involved

This is the level of care we would always aim to provide for patients in ICU but it`s very much appreciated by the staff when patients and families are kind enough to provide feedback like this.

The staff on ICU are totally amazing – I may well be biased- but they really are

Best wishes

Adam
