With the help of this wonderful site and the NHS, I had a MRI on my lumbar spine at Glasgow Royal last month, results would be 2 weeks I was told. I received a call early this month (very nice person and helpful) saying that the result was clear and could I attend the QUE Glasgow to see someone (re: my neck operation) I was guessing. I attended with my partner and saw yet another doctor.
(I've seen 3 different doctors). This doctor proceeded to tell me again, MRI was clear and they would get back to me regarding date for disk fusion (neck) operation. I asked so what is causing the pain in my lumbar spine and numbness in thigh - reply was don't know, could be arthritis....that was it.I called the MRI dept a week later and the report NOT on the system - they have a backlog could be 2-3 months!! I know I have osteoarthritis from the neck down to and including feet. So can I add another part of my body with OA??. Maybe I should've had a full body scan, rather than 3 MRI's.
Called again (another week later) and report still not on system.
