I attended the childrens A&E with my son on sat 10 Aug 2019, we were promptly seen by a triage nurse who advised us we would need to wait for some futher tests. My son (2years old) was very distressed and uncoperative. We were called in but he would not play ball as he was very tired. we went back in to the waiting room and i got him to sleep. He has his tests while asleep and after a very short wait the A&E doctor explain all the results and that we had to stay in for observations. We were taken up to Dolphin ward where we stayed the night. All staff members were extremely friendly, proffesional and helpful. I am so greatful that my son was seen, assessed and monitored and we were free to go the next morning. THANK YOU SO MUCH. The doctors, nurses and non clinical staff worked thoughout the night probably tired, under staffed and overworked but still gave it their all and we cant ask for anymore than that.
