"Okay but no longer feel GPs really seem interested"

About: Jubilee Medical Centre

I got an appointment surprisingly quickly considering there are never any appointments. The GP confirmed a condition I'd more or less worked out myself but I wanted confirmation and advice. I got a diagnosis and some advice but the doctor seemed very indifferent and stifled a yawn about five times like I was keeping him awake! I asked some questions and got answers delivered with a yawn! Why do doctors tap away on their screens instead of listening or looking at patients? He did say go back if it doesnt resolve as he can refer me or phone to speak to him - said phoning is better these days. I get that but it makes me sad we are discouraged from discussing something face to face especially when in pain or worried. Miss the friendlier GPs that used to be there and engaged with patients more even in the few minutes you were there.
