"August 2019 Patient Experience Severe Back Pain"

About: Raj Medical Centre

My wife made an appointment this morning at 8am to see a Doctor but was seen by a nurse, because she was not classed as a Red Flag patient, she has endured very severe lower back pain, over the last 7 days, it was so bad we paid to visit a Chiropractor in Grimsby to see if that would help, when she contacted the Doctors the Practice Manager basically was very unsympathetic , lacked any empathy and asked my wife what outcome she was expecting, my wife said she would like to see a doctor and maybe be referred to the hospital for a scan, to determine what is causing the severe pain, she explained that she was in pain through the night and could not sleep, I was very close to taking her to the A&E at the hospital, the Practice Manager said he could arrange an appointment today with a nurse to sort out some pain management, then after a deep sigh asked if she wanted to take the appointment, or not, my wife was so upset, she accepted the appointment, she explained that she has been off work all of last week, because of the pain, she has not had any time off work and has not been to the doctors for a very long time, if this is the way patients are going to be treated, then my wife will be leaving this surgery, it is not good enough, it's upsetting enough to be in pain, if the people who are meant to be treating you cannot be compassionate or respectful then its not good enough, hence the reason for this review, POOR SERVICE POOR EXPERIENCE
