Hi I went in for surgery on 25th July 2019 to St Michaels Hospital in Hayle Cornwall. My whole experience was a great one. The staff on St Michaels ward are amazing, nothing was to much for them, whatever you asked for you received with no problems at all. The theatre staff are also fantastic they are so friendly and try and make you feel as comfortable as they can. I must say though on this certain occasion the anaesthetist who looked after me was amazing. I believe his name is Dr George. I would like to thank him personally. I am quite nervous when it comes to anaesthetic but this Dr spoke with me throughout and had a laugh and a joke with me which really helped. He was so gentle when putting in the cannula that I never even felt him doing it, I have had bad experiences in the past with these. When he visited me before the op he explained everything to me and came back to see me when I was back on the ward to see how I was doing, he really did show such care and compassion which I feel is greatly needed. My consultant Mr Dainton I have known for years and is fantastic at his job. These kind of staff really do need some kind of recognition so thought as I cannot say it to them in person I would thank them all on here. xx
"Amazing staff for recent surgery"
